  • hold (v.) 是「存有,藏有」,如:a list of journals held in the library. (存放在圖書館裡的期刊列表)  while (conj.) 是「在… 的同時;儘管」,如:While I like the design of this chair, I do not like its color. (儘管我喜歡這個椅子的設計,我不喜歡它的顏色。)  caution (n.) 是「謹慎,小心」;cautious (adj.) 則是「小心的」。instinct (n.) 是「本能,天性」。fail to 是「沒做到…」,如:He failed to deliver his report on time. (他沒有按時提交他的報告。)
