- “thrive” 原意是「興旺發達，蓬勃發展」，為動詞，而 “thrive on… ” 就是「靠… 而蓬勃發展」，譯句裡把它翻為「茁壯成長」，比較通順。”sacredness” 是「神聖」，為名詞，”sacredness of obligations”，的原意是「義務的神聖性」。”performance” 這裡的意思是「行為表現」。
