• “lie in” 是「在於；取決於」，上面說要找到 “what it is”「什麼是」 “that interests you”「讓你感興趣」及 “that you can do well” 「你做得好/擅長」的事情。”put your whole soul into it” 上面翻作「整個人全心全意的投入」，是它所代表的意思，不是字面上的直譯。上面可以看到英文有時候通順就好，能把意含表達出來最重要，不一定要局限於文法的規則，像 “when you find it put your whole soul into it” 中間就沒有逗號分開，原文只用一個逗號反而更清楚的表達通往快樂的是哪兩個原則；”every bit of energy and ambition and natural ability you have” 也沒有用逗號區分開來，因作者沒有停頓的語氣。
