  • fret (v.) (多余的) 烦恼,发愁。例:She’s always fretting about her kids. (她总是为孩子的事担忧。) fling (v.) 用力抛掷。例:The graduates cheered and flung their hats into the air. (毕业生欢呼并把帽子抛向空中。) frightful (adj.) 可怕的,糟的。例:a frightful accident on the highway. (高速公路上一起可怕的意外事故。)
  • 乔治‧克雷布 (1754-1832) 是英国诗人、医生及牧师,以描绘中产及劳动阶级百姓而闻名。他早年在医界服务,之后转职为诗人,受到爱尔兰政治家及哲学家埃德蒙‧伯克的赏识,并在他的引介下,晚年进入教堂服务。
